Sending files to our production facilities is easy and simple if you are familiar with FTP (file transfer protocol).
FTP is the preferred method over e-mail for sending files to iCopy For You for a few reasons.
- File size can be practically unlimited.
- Faster and easier file retrieval once we receive the file.
- Some legitimate e-mail can be filtered out as spam.
- Files are stored in a secured server.
To send a file to iCopy For You, just follow these 6 simple steps:
- Prepare your file. We can read many file formats for both Windows and Macintosh OS.Check to see if we use the program you created the file in view full list. If you are using anything but Adobe® Acrobat PDF format, you must also send any fonts and graphics used along with the document file. Often clients use fonts which we do not have in our system, when this happens a substitute font must be used. A graphic may not print correctly if that graphic file is not sent as well. PDF documents are the preferred format and contain all font and graphic information and can be sent alone. For more information on creating PDF documents, look on the Adobe® Website. You may also "print to file" and create a postscript file. Neither PDF or Postscript files can be edited, so be sure your document is correct.
- Once you have prepared the file, you are ready to upload the file to our FTP server. If you are running Microsoft® Internet Explorer® version 6.0 or later for Windows®, IE 5.2 or Safari® 1.1.1 for Mac, you can simply click the button below, which will direct your browser to our FTP site. Otherwise, you may also use any other FTP client program. The FTP server name is icopyforyou.com.
- You will be prompted for a username and password to log onto the site:
- Username - icopy4u
- Password - memphis
- Be sure to use all lowercase letters
- After you log onto the FTP site, simply drag your files into the window. It is recommended that all files for the job be placed in a folder labeled with your e-mail address. This will help us ensure any fonts or graphics are kept with the main document file. The folder label will identify the job so it can be matched with your order.
- Call (901) 396-9134 to advise us that the job has been sent. We will confirm the arrival of the file. At that time we will also take down the requirements to produce the job, the destination for the finished order, shipping and payment options. If you need special paper or other special printing needs a price quote and completion time will be provided to you .
- Sit back and relax while we produce your order with care and pride. If you have any questions or concerns after your order has been placed, please call us and we would be happy to assist you further.
